The Croatian Kennel Club (HKS) is the umbrella Croatian dog organization at the national level.

It was founded in 1891 due to the social need for professional and systematic care of dogs. Today it consists of 135 members, cynological associations and breed Clubs from all over Croatia.

In terms of cynological issues, it is the only one to represent the Republic of Croatia at the International Cynological Federation - FCI.

Today, HKS operates as a non-profit and non-governmental organization whose main goal is to promote cynology through purebred dog breeding, preparation and organization of international activities with other cynological federations in the world, dog health and care for human and dog relations, and affirmation and protection of its members. .

HKS issues internationally recognized pedigrees and takes care of the training of cynological judges in accordance with the rules of the International Cynological Federation - FCI.
