Centrale Canine

The Federation known as the "Central Canine Society for the Improvement of Dog Breeds in France", founded in 1881, and recognized as a public utility establishment, by decree of April 28, 1914, aims to:

- ensure the improvement and the reconstitution of breeds of working, sporting and pleasure dogs in France

- to federate the various Societies and the various French Clubs which deal with breeds of dogs, their promotion, their education and their usefulness

- to bring them, by their very group, more credit for the defense of the interests of the breeding near the Public authorities the Administrations and the foreign Companies

- to patronize the International Championships, and the general regulations established in the Canine Sport by the Foreign associations and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale, of which the Société Centrale Canine has been a member since its creation in 1911 (the SCC being one of the five founding members).

Our head office is located at 155 avenue Jean Jaurès in Aubervilliers. In order to fulfill its mission, the Centrale Canine has several means of action:

- keeping the Book of French Origins (L.O.F.) which it created in 1885

- the organization of dog shows throughout the national territory, practical tests for utility dogs

- the issuance of prizes and awards certifying the performance and compliance of subjects

- the publication of a Bulletin (Centrale Canine Magazine) and two "online" special editions dedicated to the Concours Général Agricole and the French Dog Breed Championship

- the establishment of the rules of various competitions, championships, etc., and the supervision of their application.
