The Romanian Cynology will celebrate on this occasion 85 year form the foundation of the first national canine organization, which, from 1933 has become a member of the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI).
The Romanian Kennel Club has been nominated to organize the European Dog Show 2012 on behalf of the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI).
Our beloved Romanian Dog breeds:
1. Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog
The Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog was selected from a natural breed of t he Carpathian mountains, the principle reason being utility.
2. Romanian Carpathian Shepherd Dog
For centuries the principle criteria for selection has been utilisation, this dog having conserved its character intact to the present day.
3. Romanian Bucovina Shepherd Dog
The development of the breed arose in the regions of northeastern Romania, the county of Bucovina as well as in the South of the Danube.
Successfully used for defending flocks and as a watchdog for households. This dog has been called “Raven” because of his predominantly black coat.
