The EDS 2023 will take place on 18-21 May in the beautiful city Herning in the Central Denmark Region of the Jutland peninsula.

Be sure to enjoy with your dogs this beautiful event and bring back home some great results.

Here we share with you the rules of how to obtain Danish Beauty Champion titles.

There are 2 ways of obtaining the Danish beauty Champion title - depending on the dog's country of registration (i.e. the owner's country of residence)

Certificates (CACs)

a. Dogs owned and registered in all countries can become a Danish beauty Champion by obtaining 3 certificates (3 CACs) under 3 different judges. The last CAC must be obtained after the dog has attained the age of 24 months.

b. Dogs owned and registered in a country where the kennel club is recognised by the FCI can moreover become a Danish beauty Champion by obtaining 1 certificate (CAC) after 1 January 2008, if the dog has obtained a national beauty champion title in an FCI member country. In this case, the Danish CAC does not have to be obtained after the dog has attained the age of 24 months, if the foreign national championship releasing the Danish championship has been obtained after the dog has attained the age of 24 months. It is a condition that the last CAC for the foreign championship has been obtained after the dog has attained the age of 24 months. It is not enough that the foreign kennel club has confirmed the championship after the dog has attained the age of 24 months.

Further requirements

For some breeds, a working trial, a certain hip dysplasia level or the like is required in order to become a Danish beauty champion. These further requirements must of course in both of the above cases be fulfilled in order for the dog to become a Danish beauty champion. The requirements that must be met in order to become a Danish Beauty Champion appear from the DKK show regulations. Danish-owned dogs must meet the requirements mentioned in the show regulations. Foreign-owned dogs must meet requirements that are comparable with the Danish requirements. For specific breed information e.g. regarding trials or other demands, please consult the DKK information stands at our international shows or contact the information department at Dansk Kennel Klub
