Dear Breeders and friends of the Purebred dog Community,

 

unfortunately, since September 2021, the Bulgarian Kennel Club (BRFK) is going through a very difficult period.

 

Due to its internal problems in the Club, as of January 1, 2022, the Bulgarian Kennel Club is no longer officially a member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI).

We bring you the last important statement from FCI following this case.

''Dear breeders and exhibitors,
With reference to our previous communication dated 20/09/2021 and the BRFC (Bulgarian Republican Federation of Cynology) application to terminate their full membership with the FCI on 31/12/2021, the FCI General Committee decided on 27th January 2022 that the dogs having

are allowed to participate at any FCI event.

The FCI Head Office will confirm the awards gained at those events (CACIB, CACIT, CACIOB, CACIAG, etc.). and issue the titles of International Champion (C.I.B., C.I.E., C.I.T., C.I.OB., C.I.AG, etc.) for the above dogs provided that an appropriate application with all supporting documents is sent to the FCI Office

Canine Unity gives unconditional support to all Breeders and Judges from the Bulgarian Kennel Club as this his situation affects them very unfavourably.

The Bulgarian Kennel Club has proud and successful history of over more than 40 years. Therefore, we sincerely hope that the members of the Bulgarian Kennel Club will soon overcome their internal problems and become again a member of the FCI.
